Paint Alternative Competition
Official performance record
Through PAC, APHA records the performance
of your registered American Paint Horse—
Regular Registry or Breeding Stock—when it
performs in an activity outside of breed approved
shows . For your victories in any PAC category, you earn credits that are recorded on
your horse’s official lifetime performance
record. PAC leaders in each category are listed
in the Paint Horse Journal monthly.
Recognition for your success
A Certificate of Recognition is awarded to
your registered Paint Horse when it earns at
least 20 credits in any one approved category. A
Certificate of Achievement is awarded when
that horse earns 60 or more credits in any one
approved category.
PAC Year-End Leaders who earn the most
points in one category will receive a Gist belt
buckle and recognition in the Paint Horse
Journal.
Six PAC Top Five awards go to the top five
horses earning the most credits in at least six
different categories. The title of Six PAC
Champion is awarded to any horse that wins at
least six different categories on the PAC Leader’s List in a single year. A Gist belt buckle is awarded
to the Six PAC Champion. PAC is co-sponsored
by Gist Silversmiths, Kent Feeds and Pro
Orthopedics.

Open Event Incentive Program
Do you compete in local open shows hosted by local clubs, saddle clubs,
even other breed associations? If so, AHA would like to present you and
the Arabian, Half-Arabian or Anglo-Arabian horses you compete with the
opportunity to receive recognition and awards for your accomplishments.
The Open Event Incentive Program rewards both Riders and Horses that excel in all-breed
competitions outside of the traditional Arabian horse community. As a participant in
OEIP, you and your horse will accumulate points based on how you place in competitions
and be rewarded for all of your achievements and hard work.
